Despite having only played their first gig in their hometown of Brighton less than 2 weeks before COVID-19 put the brakes on the UK's entire music scene, female-fronted rockers Fighting Colours haven't let circumstances slow them down, and now are gearing up for the release of debut single 'To the Bone'.

One of the very first songs the band wrote, this opening statement fuses catchy choruses with a huge alt-rock sound and dark, personal lyrics. Lead singer Jasmine Ardley sings an emotionally-charged tale of mental health issues and personal breakdowns, which are then underlaid by distorted, razor-sharp riffs from guitarist Pete Ferris, whilst bassist Harrison Mortley and drummer Leo Martin drive the song onwards with a propulsive, frantic rhythm.

As a first single, 'To the Bone' is an immediate punch to the gut and just scratches the surface of what Fighting Colours can do.
